Marymount Women's Basketball Tops Wesley, 51-34, To Give Bill Finney His 500th Coaching Victory

Kathleen Brown and Heather Leahy each scored 10 points, combined for 15 rebounds and led a stellar defensive effort to lead Marymount to a 51-34 CAC women's basketball victory at Wesley, giving Saints veteran mentor Bill Finney his 500th career coaching victory.
Bridget Benshetler Resigns as Head Women's Basketball Coach at Salisbury

Bridget Benshetler, the winningest women's basketball coach in Salisbury University history, has resigned from her position as head coach and instructor in the Health, Physical Education and Human Performance Department. Benshetler will leave the University on August 14 to become an assistant professor of Health and Wellness at Wor-Wic Community College.
Wesley College Names Geoff Goyne as Director of News and Sports Information

Geoff Goyne has been named Director of News and Sports Information at Wesley College, according to Mike Drass, Executive Directors of Intercollegiate Sports and Recreation. Goyne comes to Wesley after spending the past two years as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania.

The Capital Athletic Conference has released the All-Academic Team numbers for the 2006-07 year. Student-athletes that attain a 3.2 grade-point average (GPA) for the 2006-07 school year are named to the team.
