Frostburg State Announced Plans For Division III Week
The Frostburg State University athletic department will help
celebrate NCAA Division III Week with a host of activities that
honor and celebrate the university's student-athletes. Division III
Week is scheduled for April 9-15 and will run in conjunction with
National Student-Athlete Day on April 6.
FSU will kickoff the festivities with a student-athlete BBQ at Bob
Wells Field (baseball field) from 2:30 – 5:00 pm on Friday,
April 6.
"Division III Week is a great opportunity for the university to
celebrate the ideals and meaning on which the term student-athletes
is built. It provides us a platform to highlight the contributions
that student-athletes make both in the classroom and on the field
or court,” said Director of Athletics Troy A.
Dell. “Our Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)
has done an excellent job of planning this week and I am sure that
they will do a great job of hosting and coordinating the events of
the week.”
The athletic department has dedicated a webpage, twitter account
and facebook page that will help celebrate Division III Week. The
Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will update both twitter
and facebook with photos, videos and interviews throughout the
week.
