Salisbury SAAC Sponsors Survivor 5K Challenge To Benefit Special Olympics

Salisbury University students and area residents will often run the paths around and through campus for recreation and to keep in shape. But they've never run through campus in a manner as they will have the opportunity to do so on Saturday, May 6 as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will host the Salisbury Survivor 5K Challenge.

The race, which will benefit the Lower Shore Special Olympics, is open to the campus and community members. It will begin and end on East Campus at the Track & Field Complex. The course will cover three miles throughout campus and runners will need to be prepared for tough obstacles and physical challenges throughout the run.

Registration is $25 for those signing up by April 20, and the price will increase to $35 after April 20. Participants will receive an event shirt and other giveaways. Those registering after April 20 are not guaranteed shirts and giveaway items.
