Brett Ford Named Wesley Sports Information Director

The Wesley College athletic department is pleased to announce that Brett Ford will join the staff as Sports Information Director after a national search. Director of Athletics Mike Drass made the announcement on Monday.

"We are proud to have Brett as our new Sports Information Director," said Drass. "He comes from a similar Division III institution where he coordinated live streaming video for all of the school's home games. We look forward to having Brett work with our athletic teams in a similar capacity."

Ford joins the Wolverines after spending one year in Conway, Ark. as a member of the Hendrix College athletic department. At Hendrix, Ford served as the assistant sports information director, coordinating the athletic department's social media campaign and video productions. He also served as primary media contact for men's and women's soccer, field hockey, women's lacrosse, men's and women's tennis, and baseball.

Before his stint in Arkansas, Ford spent two years at Castleton State College in Castleton, Vt. holding the position of graduate assistant of athletic communications. In two years, Ford served as primary media contact for 10 varsity athletic programs, managed the athletic department's video productions, and earned a master's degree in education.

He also spent time in professional athletics, working two years with the Washington Redskins as part of their gameday production staff. Ford worked as a graphics and statistics assistant, helping to create and provide content for the Redskins video scoreboards.

A native of Hampstead, Md., Ford was a four-year letterman on the Misericordia University men's tennis team and played one season of men's basketball as well. He earned his bachelor's degree in communications, graduating from Misericordia in 2011.

He currently resides in Dover, Del. with his fiance, Krystal.
