Salisbury Rallies From 20-0 Halftime Deficit to Defeat Frostburg State, 28-27, For Regents Cup Victory And NJAC Football Title
Salisbury quarterback Ryan Jones ran for a third-quarter touchdown and threw for three fourth-quarter TDs to lead the Sea Gulls' rally from a 20-0 deficit to gain a 28-27 victory over Frostburg State Saturday, clinching the New Jersey Athletic Conference co-championship and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Sea Gulls, who captured the annual season-ending Regents Cup trophy against FSU, shared the 2015 NJAC title with Wesley, which defeated William Paterson on the final weekend of the regular season by a 63-0 margin. Wesley will hope to gain an at-large bid to the 2015 NCAA Tournament.
