Four new members will be inducted into the Salisbury University Athletics Hall of Fame this fall as the class was announced on Friday with three former student-athletes and one administrator making up the 2016 induction class.

This year's class consists of Brittany Elliott (field hockey), Greg Lemon (baseball), Sean White (men's lacrosse) and Dr. Michael Vienna.

The Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is one of the premiere events of Salisbury's Homecoming Weekend and will take place Friday, September 30, 2016, beginning at 6 p.m. The formal event recognizes the men and women whose contributions to Salisbury University athletics have deemed them worthy of induction into the SU Hall of Fame.

Elliott (Class of 2006) was a four-year letterwinner on the field hockey team and was a two-time first-team All-American, with those honors coming in her junior and senior seasons. She earned all-region honors three times and was a first-team All-Capital Athletic Conference pick three times, along with being named the CAC Rookie of the Year, in 2002, and the league's Player of the Year, in 2005. Elliott continues to stand as the top playmaker in program history with a program-record 46 assists and 192 points in her career. Her 73 goals rank third in program history. In her time in maroon and gold, she led the field hockey team to the NCAA tournament each year, including national championships in 2003, 2004, and 2005.

Lemon (class of 2006) played four years with the baseball program, earning a first-team All-American honor in 2006, while twice earning all-region accolades and being named to the All-CAC team all four years – including the first team three times – and CAC Rookie of the Year in 2003. The baseball program made the NCAA tournament in each of his four years, including a trip to the World Series in 2004. Lemon continues to stand in the top 10 in numerous program statistical categories, as he has scored the most runs in program history (193), is tied for the most triples in a career (10), and ranks second in career doubles (50).

White (class of 2006) was a four-year letterwinner and a three-time All-American for the men's lacrosse program. White was named a first-team All-American in 2004 and 2005 and was a second-team choice in 2003. In each of his final three years, he was named the nation's top long-stick midfielder and still ranks 12th in program history in groundballs, scooping up 227 in his career. A three-time first-team All-CAC choice, White led the Sea Gulls to national championships in 2003, 2004, and 2005.

Vienna worked at Salisbury University for 26 years, first as Associate Director of Athletics before being named the Director of Athletics on May 1, 1993, a position he held until the end of the 2014-15 academic year. In his time at the helm of Salisbury University athletics, he oversaw 21 varsity programs which accumulated 17 team national championships and 14 individual national championships. The varsity teams achieved more than 5,000 victories in his time at Salisbury. Not only leading the varsity programs, in 2003 he became the University's director of campus recreation, affording the student body, faculty, and staff with recreation opportunities.
