Wesley Announces 2016 Hall of Fame Class

Wesley Announces 2016 Hall of Fame Class

The Wesley College Athletic Department, alongside the Wesley College Athletics Hall of Fame Selection Committee are thrilled to announce the Wesley College Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2016. The class include four female alumni, six male alumni, and a special induction: the 1976 Wesley Football team.

Wesley College President Robert E. Clark II gave the approval for the class to be enshrined in the Wesley Athletics Hall of Fame. He was thrilled with the selection saying, "Greatness and champions are not definied on the athletic fields, track, court, classroom, or by induction into Hall of Fames - they are merely recognized there. What truly defines greatness and champions is how they influence and inspire others to achieve things they never thought possible; how they make people around them better; how they better their team, their institution, their sport, and their community day in and day out."

President Clark added, "Our 2016 Hall of Fame class are champions and truly embody the greatness that has become part of the legacy of excellence that is the Wolverine Student-Athlete. I look forward to welcoming the 2016 Hall of Fame class home, and especially the 1976 Wesley College Football Team, who will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of their accomplishments this year."

The Wesley College Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2016 will be recognized at a ceremony held during Homecoming Weekend. Homecoming Weekend begins on Friday, October 7.
