CAC Players of the Week - Oct. 29
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. --- Last week's action marked the conclusion of the regular season and the opening of CAC postseason play in field hockey, men's soccer, and women's soccer. The CAC volleyball tournament will begin on Tuesday, with the other fall sports continuing postseason competition this week, culminating in the championship games this Saturday, Nov. 3.
Weekly CAC honors were awarded to Courtnie Greene of Christopher Newport field hockey, Jessica Cavolt of Mary Washington field hockey, Joshua Everard of Mary Washington men's soccer, Patrick Paolini of St. Mary's men's soccer, Brooke Rossiter of Salisbury women's soccer, Katie Flores of St. Mary's women's soccer, and Brooke Krebs of York volleyball.

FIELD HOCKEY - OFFENSIVE POTW
Courtnie Greene | Christopher Newport | Sr. | M

Greene led the Captains to a 7-0 victory over Frostburg State in the first round of the CAC Tournament on Sunday. Against the Bobcats, she erupted for five points, including a pair of goals. With that performance, she became the first Captain to score twice in a postseason contest since 2013. Overall, Christopher Newport's seven goals marked the most by the program in a playoff game since the 2012 squad dropped eight against Gwynedd-Mercy in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

FIELD HOCKEY - DEFENSIVE POTW
Jessica Cavolt | Mary Washington | Sr. | GK
Virginia Beach, Va. | Norfolk Collegiate
Cavolt registered a shutout in a 1-0 victory at St. Mary's midweek to secure the fourth seed in the CAC Tournament, and then gained a 4-1 win in the first round over the Seahawks on Sunday. She made eight saves on the week with a .889% save percentage and 0.50 goals against average.

MEN'S SOCCER - OFFENSIVE POTW

Everard scored a hat trick on Wednesday in a 10-0 win over Southern Virginia, and added another in an 8-0 UMW win over the Knights in the CAC Tournament Quarterfinal matchup.

MEN'S SOCCER - DEFENSIVE POTW
Patrick Paolini | St. Mary's | Jr. | GK
Gaithersburg, Md. | Quince Orchard
Paolini made three saves in a scoreless double overtime draw with Penn State Harrisburg before facing all five PKs in the shootout with two sailing over the goal to send St. Mary's into the semifinals. Paolini is fourth in the CAC with an 0.86 goals against average.

WOMEN'S SOCCER - OFFENSIVE POTW
Brooke Rossiter | Salisbury | So. | F
Sparta, N.J. | Sparta
Rossiter recorded a five-point game in the first round of the CAC playoffs on Saturday in an overtime win against Frostburg State. She scored in the fifth minute, assisted on Salisbury's second goal six minutes later, and also scored the game-winner in overtime to send the Sea Gulls into the semifinal round.

WOMEN'S SOCCER - DEFENSIVE POTW
Katie Flores | St. Mary's | Sr. | GK
Towson, Md. | Towson
Flores collected a career-best 11 saves in a loss to Christopher Newport before making six saves at York for her fourth shutout of the season, lifting St. Mary's to its fourth straight semifinal appearance. Flores is third in the CAC with a .794 save percentage.

VOLLEYBALL
Brooke Krebs | York | Sr. | OH
Hanover, Pa. | New Oxford
Krebs averaged 3.12 kills and 2.41 digs per set while posting three double-doubles in a 3-1 week for the Spartans, who clinched the No. 3 seed in the upcoming CAC Tournament. In a 3-1 win over Salisbury, Krebs notched 15 kills, 11 digs and a solo block. She also registered double-doubles in non-conference victories over Arcadia (11k, 10d) and McDaniel (14k, 13d). Krebs had 54.5 points in the Spartans' four matches.
