Seven CAC Schools Ranked in Final Learfield Directors' Cup Standings; Four Inside Top 65

Christopher Newport finished 37th in the final 2018-19 Division III Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup standings, announced Thursday (June 13), to headline seven CAC institutions ranked in the final standings.

The Captains totaled 425 points to place 37th, while York placed 55th (324.5 points), Salisbury took 58th place (305.5 points) and Mary Washington finished 59th (305 points). 

Penn State Harrisburg (203rd/87.5 pts), Frostburg State (242nd/53 pts) and Southern Virginia (291st/25 pts) also earned points in the final Learfield standings. 

The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today.  Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 18 sports during NCAA Div. III Championships - nine men's and nine women's sports.

NCAA Division III includes approximately 450 member institutions in 43 conferences.  A total of 329 Division III institutions scored Learfield Directors' Cup points this year.
