Seven CAC Soccer Programs Honored as Team Academic Award Recipients

Seven Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) men's and women's soccer programs were recently recognized by the United Soccer Coaches as 2017-18 College Team Academic Award winners. To be recognized with this distinction, a team must post a grade point average of 3.0 or greater.

To see the complete list of CAC programs that were recognized, along with their team GPA, please see below. In total, 824 programs (310 men's and 514 women's) were honored.

Salisbury was the lone CAC institution to have both men's and women's teams recognized. Overall, Frostburg women's soccer team posted the highest team GPA as the Bobcats averaged a 3.48 in the classroom following the 2017-18 academic year. The St. Mary's women's team was second among CAC schools with a 3.39, slightly ahead of the York women with a 3.37 GPA.
