Mary Washington junior right fielder JACKSON CLEMENT (Fairfax, Va./Woodson) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week after hitting .625 (5-for-8) with a triple, homer, four runs scored and four RBI in the Eagles midweek sweep against Catholic University. Clement keyed Thursday’s 7-6 victory with a homer, triple, two runs scored and two RBI.

York junior outfielder JOE DOYLE (Stewartstown, Pa./Red Lion) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week after leading the Spartans to two wins in three games against sixth-ranked Salisbury. Doyle was 5-for-11 for a .455 batting average with nine RBI, four runs scored, a triple and three home runs, a 1.455 slugging percentage. He had three hits, including two bombs, in a mid-week YCP offensive explosion on the road. Saturday, he was 2-for-3 with a homer in the Spartans’ come-from-behind win that helped YCP claim the No. 2 seed in the 2010 CAC playoffs.

York senior outfielder MIKE CONNOLLY (Newfield, N.Y./Selden) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week after hitting .533 with two doubles, a homer, seven RBI and four runs scored as the Spartans went 4-0, including a CAC series sweep vs. St. Mary’s. Connolly registered multi-hit performances in all three games against SMC, allowing the Spartans to reach the .500 for just the second time this season.

Stevenson junior P/OF JEFF BIHY (Baltimore, Md./Eastern Tech) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week after hitting .706 in five games last week, helping the Mustangs to a 4-1 record, including two CAC victories. Bihy was 12-for-17 with seven doubles, six RBI and four runs scored. He had a 1.118 slugging percentage, a .737 on-base percentage and at least two hits in all five games. After helping Stevenson sweep CAC rival St. Mary’s Saturday, Bihy went 6-for-8 with three doubles and four RBI in Sunday’s sweep vs. Catholic.

Mary Washington freshman 1B SETH JORDAN (Springfield, Va./South County) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week after leading the Eagles to a 4-0 weekend by hitting .583 with three extra base hits and eight runs produced. Jordan had three doubles, four singles and two walks in 14 trips to the plate (.643 OBP) with three runs scored, five RBI and did not strike out in his first weekend of his collegiate career.
