Stevenson's Justin Anderson And Tony Prescott Selected to Capital One Academic All-America Second Team

Stevenson baseball seniors Justin Anderson (Shrewsbury, Pa./Calvert Hall) and Tony Prescott (Elkridge, Md./Howard) were both named to the Capital One Academic All-America® Second Team as selected by The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Anderson and Prescott are the second and third Academic All-America® selections for Stevenson this year. Women's soccer senior Stephanie Eyler (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) was the school's first CoSIDA Academic All-American in its 17-year history after was selected to the Capital One Academic All-America Third Team in November.

Anderson, who graduated with a degree in business administration and a 3.68 grade point average, was named to the ABCA All-South Region Third Team and All-CAC First Team this season. He also received the Dean Dawson Award, given to one male and one female senior student-athlete at Stevenson with the highest cumulative grade point average.

An ABCA All-South Region Second Team and All-CAC First Team selection this season, Prescott graduated with a degree in criminal justice and a 3.36 grade point average. He spent two seasons with the Mustangs after spending his first two at Mount St. Mary's.

The nation's premier Academic All-America® program, CoSIDA began the program in the 1950's and currently honors Academic All-Americans in 12 sports. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution.
