D3baseball.com All-South Region Team 

Just days removed from its first-ever NCAA Regional Championship, Frostburg State head coach Guy Robertson and freshman Greg Schneider received top honors on the D3baseball.com All-South Region Team announced Monday. Robertson was named Regional Coach of the Year, while Schneider secured Rookie of the Year accolades. 

Robertson and Schneider, who also earned the same awards on the All-CAC team this spring, headlined a group of 13 CAC players on the All-South Region squad, including six on the first team. Frostburg State led the way with six selections, followed by Mary Washington with five and NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region champion Salisbury with two. 

CAC Player of the Year Jono Haught, a senior catcher from Mary Washington, landed on the first team, along with UMW junior second baseman James Keller. Four Frostburg State seniors earned first team accolades - first baseman Ricky Brady, third baseman Zach Weiss, outfielder Nick Walker, and lefthander Clayton Freimuth. 

Three players received second team honors, including Salisbury senior Kyle Hayman, Mary Washington freshman first baseman David Slupek, and Frostburg State's Schneider. Slupek and Schneider were the only freshmen of the 42 All-South Region honorees. 

Four players nabbed third team honors - Salisbury senior outfielder Jordan Gowe, Frostburg State senior righthander Bennett Schiltz, and Mary Washington juniors Ryan Van Assche and Mitch Moynihan.
