Just one conference will be represented by multiple teams at the NCAA Division III Baseball College World Series - the Capital Athletic Conference. Frostburg State and Salisbury both captured regional titles last weekend to advance to the World Series, marking the first time in CAC history that a pair of teams qualified for the championship round.

The 2015 College World Series will take place at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wisc. from May 22-27. The NCAA has changed the championship format for this year, as teams will play in two four-team pools with the winners facing each other in a best-of-three series.

Second-ranked Frostburg State, the 2015 CAC Champion, earned a berth in the World Series after taking the Mideast Regional Championship with an 8-4 win over La Roche. Frostburg State also defeated Washington & Jefferson (7-1), Shenandoah (7-2) and Heidelberg (9-6) on its way to the program's first regional title. The Bobcats are the first team in NCAA Division III this season to reach 41 wins and is one of six ranked teams in the championship.

The Bobcats (41-7) will open up the eight-team tournament against Ramapo (32-14) on Friday. First pitch is slated for 10 a.m.

Fifth-ranked Salisbury will make its second straight World Series appearance after capturing the Mid-Atlantic Regional crown with a 12-2 triumph over Alvernia in the title game. The Sea Gulls rolled through the regional unblemished, defeating Mitchell (11-1), Penn State Berks (16-5), and Alvernia twice (13-3; 12-2).

The Sea Gulls (33-4-1) will begin the CWS against Wisconsin-La Crosse (33-13) in the day one nightcap at 8:45 p.m.

Other competing schools include SUNY Cortland (40-4), Webster (34-13), Trinity (Texas) (37-12), and Emory (30-13).
