ECAC South Baseball All-Star Team

Salisbury's Tom LaBriola and Marymount's Frank Leoni secured major awards to headline the CAC's representation on the 2016 ECAC South Baseball All-Star team. A total of eight CAC players earned ECAC all-star recognition, including five on the first team.

LaBriola, the CAC Player of the Year, was selected as the ECAC South Player of the Year and first team catcher after a superb campaign for the CAC-champion Sea Gulls. LaBriola was one of four Sea Gulls to earn all-star nods, joined on the first team by Jake Dmiterchik (first base), and Pete Grasso (shortstop), with Kyle Goodwin (outfield) earning second team honors.

Leoni, who just finished up his third year coaching the Marymount program, was honored as the top coach on the ECAC South team. Leoni and the Saints wrapped up the program's third season with a 23-17 overall record and finished second in the CAC regular season.

Frostburg State landed three on the all-star team, led by K.J. Hockaday (second base) and Devin Bell (outfield) on the first team. Pitcher Greg Schneider was a second team selection for the Bobcats.

Wesley's Eric Speidel represented the Wolverines in the ECAC squad as a second team pick at shortstop.
