Salisbury Baseball Earns No. 1 Seed in Six-Team South Regional

The CAC champion Salisbury baseball team was awarded the No. 1 seed in the NCAA South Regional in Danville, Va. The Sea Gulls will take on No. 6 seed Roanoke in their opening game on Thursday, May 18. 

The six-team double-elimination regional will feature No. 2 seed LaGrange (Ga.), Rowan as the No. 3 seed, Emory as the No. 4 seed, Otterbein at five, and Roanoke rounding the group as the No. 6 seed.

Six teams will compete at four regional sites and eight teams will compete at four regional sites. All regionals will use a double-elimination format. Forty-one conference champions qualified automatically.

The winners of the eight regional tournaments will qualify for the double-elimination championship at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wisconsin May 26-31.
