D3baseball.com All-America Team

Salisbury senior Connor Reeves was selected as the D3baseball.com National Pitcher of the Year to lead a group of four CAC players on the D3baseball.com All-America Team, announced Wednesday.

Christopher Newport junior third baseman Seth Woodard and Wesley senior Chris Seibert earned second team All-America honors, while Salisbury senior pitcher Austin Heenan collected honorable mention accolades.

Reeves led the nation in wins as he compiled a CAC and school-record 14 wins (14-3) for the Sea Gulls. His WHIP of 0.73 also led all Division III pitchers in 2018. Reeves helped lead the Sea Gulls to their third straight CAC title this spring and has also been awarded as the ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball.com South Region Pitcher of the Year. He amassed 113 strikeouts over 120 2/3 innings of work, including six complete games and three shutouts. For his efforts, he was also honored as a first-team All-America pick.

CNU's Woodard hit a team-best .386 for the Captains while slugging .705 and getting on-base at a .511 clip. His 2018 season now litters the CNU record book for single season performances, including ranking third in runs scored (57) and RBI (65), fourth in home runs (13), eighth in total hits (68), and 10th in doubles (17). He opened the season with a 17-game hitting streak, which ranks seventh on the all-time list at CNU, and he led the squad in multiple RBI games, with 20. He ranks nationally in 12 different statistical categories, including sixth in RBI and 13th in total bases. At the conference level, Woodard's 13 home runs are tied for the second most in a single season, as are his 65 RBIs.

Wesley's Seibert led the CAC in hitting (.475), on-base percentage (.552) and slugging percentage (.850). He currently ranks fifth in NCAA Division III in batting average and on-base percentage and seventh in slugging percentage. Seibert tied for third in the CAC in home runs (10) and tied for seventh in runs batted in (43) and doubles (13).

Heenan appeared in 15 games on the mound for the Sea Gulls, amassing 10 wins. He finished the season with a 2.24 earned run average and collected 118 strikeouts, ranking him second in Division III.
