York's Megan Eckenrode Steps Down as Field Hockey Coach

York College announced that field hockey coach Megan Eckenrode has resigned her position to pursue other professional opportunities at Dickinson College, effective immediately.

To say that York College's Nicole Starner has her priorities in order would be a drastic understatement. Just have a conversation with the Biglerville High School graduate, and you can almost feel the energy through the telephone. It is that passion that helped Starner perform the rare feat of playing two sports in college -- field hockey in the fall and lacrosse in the spring.

2007 Capital Athletic Conference Field Hockey All-Conference Team

Salisbury University, the 13-time defending Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) champion, placed seven athletes on the 2007 All-CAC field hockey team as released today by the conference office. The Sea Gulls had six players selected to the first team and one selection on the second team. Senior defender Danielle Twilley (pictured) was selected as the Player of the Year.

Top-seeded Salisbury University won their 13th consecutive Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) field hockey tournament championship with a 5-0 shutout victory over second-seeded St. Marys (Md.) on Saturday afternoon.

Salisbury University will enter the upcoming 2007 Capital Athletic Conference field hockey tournament as the number one seed. The Sea Gulls went 6-0 during the regular season in conference play, giving them the first-round bye in the tournament.
