2007 Capital Athletic Conference Field Hockey All-Conference Team

ST. MARY'S CITY, MD - Salisbury University, the 13-time defending Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) champion, placed seven athletes on the 2007 All-CAC field hockey team as released today by the conference office. The Sea Gulls had six players selected to the first team and one selection on the second team. St. Mary's (Md.), the 2007 conference tournament runner-up, garnered six players on the squad with four first team selections and two second team picks.

Salisbury freshman midfielder Kandice Hancock was chosen as the Rookie of the Year, while her teammate, senior defender Danielle Twilley, was selected as the Player of the Year. After leading her team to a 5-1 conference record and their first-ever CAC tournament final appearance, head coach Megan Block of St. Mary's (Md.) was chosen by her peers as the 2007 CAC Coach of the Year.
