Salisbury's Kandice Hancock, Tara McGovern And Wesley's Brooke Tadlock Named To The 2010 Field Hockey All-America Team

Salisbury's Kandice Hancock, Tara McGovern and Wesley's Brooke Tadlock were named to the 2010 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-America team.

Hancock, the 2007 CAC Rookie of the Year, 2008 CAC Player of the Year and 2010 Regional Player of the Year, was picked as a 2010 first-team All-American.

McGovern, the 2008 CAC Rookie of the Year and 2009 CAC Player of the Year, and Tadlock, the 2010 CAC Player of the Year, both earned third-team All-America recognition.

Hancock returned to the field this past season after an injury took her out for the majority of the Sea Gulls' 2009 campaign. Hancock was an offensive mainstay for Salisbury in 2010, registering 21 points on nine goals and three assists.

McGovern was a mainstay on the defensive end for the Sea Gulls, relentlessly denying her opponents scoring opportunities and keeping opponent shots to a minimum.

Tadlock finished third in the CAC in goals (16) and fourth in points (38), both of which are second on the team.  For her career, she is one of just three players in school history with 50 goals and four with at least 100 points.
