Mary Washington senior Lisa Charney, the 2012 CAC Co-Player of the Year, was one of three conference players named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-America team.

Charney earned first-team All-America recognition while teammate Caitlin Baker was a second-team choice and Salisbury's Amber Holland was a third-team pick.  All three were first-team honorees on the SynapseSports.com All-America team earlier this week.

Charney broke the UMW single season scoring record with 25 goals, anfd also posted four assists. In addition, she led the team with seven defensive saves. She was also selected as the NFHCA Regional Player of the Year on Monday.

Baker scored 10 goals and added a school-record 17 assists for the Eagles, while Gianelle limited opponents to a 1.09 GAA in UMW's 20-2 season.

Holland was named a first-team member after a stellar season with the Sea Gulls. The senior co-captain helped lead SU's defense to five shutouts and made six defensive saves en route to Salisbury's 15-3 record. Salisbury allowed only 23 goals on the season and strong play by Holland and teammates held opponents to 145 shots while SU tallied 427.
