Salisbury's Summer Washburn Headlines Four CAC Field Hockey Players on Longstreth / NFHCA All-America Teams

Complete All-America Team

Four CAC field hockey players were named to the 2014 Longstreth / NFHCA All-America Team on Monday morning, headlined by Salisbury senior Summer Washburn's first team selection.

Washburn, the CAC Player of the Year, was the only CAC player to earn first-team accolades. Sea Gull junior Courtney Jantzen received second team honors. The duo helped the Sea Gulls reach the NCAA Final Four this season, where they fell 2-1 to Bowdoin. Washburn totaled seven goals and 14 assists on the year from her midfield position. Jantzen was the Sea Gulls' leading scorer with 22 goals and seven assists. Both Washburn and Jantzen finished the year with four game-winning scores.

Mary Washington junior Haley Kane also secured second team All-America accolades. Kane led the Eagles to a 14-5 overall record, and national ranking throughout the season. She scored nine goals and added a team-high 10 assists this season for UMW.

Christopher Newport senior Belle Tunstall landed on the third team. After also earning first-team NFHCA honors in 2013, Tunstall is now the fifth player in CNU history to collect All-America accolades twice in her career. She led the Captains with seven goals, six assists, and 20 points.
