Southern Virginia to Add Field Hockey to Sport Offerings

Southern Virginia University Vice President and Director of Athletics Jason Lamb today announced women's field hockey as the newest sport offered by the University, beginning as a club sport with the intent to become an NCAA program in 2019. Camille Lamb will serve as the team's first head coach.
Four CAC Field Hockey Players Named NFHCA All-Americans

Four CAC field hockey players were named All-Americans by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA). Christopher Newport junior Rachael Allshouse earned first-team accolades, York senior Ali Posey was named to the second team, and the Salisbury duo of senior Tressie Windsor and sophomore Jillian Hughes grabbed third-team honors.
14 CAC Field Hockey Players Earn NFHCA All-Region Accolades

Fourteen field hockey student-athletes from the Capital Athletic Conference were selected to the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-South Region team. The CAC compiled nearly half of the 32 honorees, including eight on the first team and six on the second team.
