Christopher Newport, Salisbury Knocked Out in NCAA Field Hockey Second Round
Christopher Newport and Salisbury both fell by one-goal margins in the NCAA Field Hockey Second Round on Saturday, ending the seasons for the CAC's two representatives in the NCAA postseason.
Fourth-ranked CNU was edged by eighth-ranked Kean, 2-1, while sixth-ranked Salisbury fell to 11th-ranked Trinity (Conn.) 2-1 in overtime.
CNU concludes the season with a 17-2 record, while Salisbury ends the year at 12-5.
