Salisbury Goalkeeper Tressie Windsor Named NFHCA National Defensive Player of the Week

Salisbury senior goalkeeper Tressie Windsor has been named the National Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on Wednesday.

Last week, Windsor stopped nine shots in a 3-0 win against then No. 16 York before turning away 10 tries by Mary Washington in a 5-0 victory. The save totals were the two highest of her career, as she recorded her fourth and fifth shutouts of the year.

Earlier this week, Windsor was named the Capital Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts.

This marks the second national honor for a CAC field hockey player this season, as Christopher Newport goalkeeper Stephanie McKinney earned National Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 4
