The 2018 CAC Field Hockey Tournament seeds and pairings are now set following Wednesday's two-game slate that concluded the conference regular season. 

Salisbury (5-0 CAC) clinched the top seed in the tournament with a 2-1 home victory over Christopher Newport (3-2). With SU's victory, York (3-1) earned the No. 2 seed in the CAC postseason. The Spartans will face Frostburg State (0-4) in Thursday's regular season finale, but the result of that contest will have no impact on the tournament seeds. Both Salisbury and York earned first-round byes as the top two seeds. 

Wednesday's other contest featured Mary Washington defeating St. Mary's 1-0. The Eagles (2-3) earned the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 St. Mary's (1-4) on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Fredericksburg. Va. 

CNU's loss to Salisbury dropped the defending-champion Captains to the No. 3 seed. CNU will host No. 6 Frostburg State (0-4) on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Newport News, Va. 

Salisbury and York will host the semifinals next Wednesday.
