2018 Longstreth/NFHCA Division III All-Region Teams

Twelve field hockey student-athletes from the Capital Athletic Conference were selected to the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-South Region team. The CAC compiled six first-team honorees with six second team selections. 

Christopher Newport led the way with five all-region selections for the second consecutive season. Sophomore midfielder Courtney Fiest and senior defender Brittan Muir collected first-team honors. Fiest was a repeat all-region pick after earning second team honors in 2017. A trio of Captains were named to the second team - junior midfielder Rachel Cooke, junior forward Olivia Davis, and senior defender Courtnie Greene who earned all-region status for the second straight season.

CAC Champion Salisbury placed three on the all-region squad, including two on the first team. Junior defender Jillian Hughes, the CAC Player of the Year, earned first-team all-region accolades for the second straight year. Joining Hughes on the first team for SU was junior forward Tara Daddio, while junior midfielder Arielle Johnston represented the Sea Gulls on the second team. 

York also landed a trio on the all-region team, headlined by junior forward Greta Plappert who earned region honors for the the second straight year. Plappert was a first-team selection along with senior forward Lindsay Nye. Sophomore midfielder Dana Meehling collected second-team recognition for the Spartans. 

Mary Washington had one top performer earn all-region recognition. Junior forward Lauren Hopkins nabbed second-team honors for the Eagles. 

CAC All-South Region Honorees
