Ten Named 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction

GILBERT, Ariz. — This year, 321 student-athletes have been recognized as Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction. A total of ten (10) Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) student-athletes were honored.

The Division III Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2019-20 academic year.

The honorees from the CAC include: Mary Washington's Meredith Lebel, Salisbury's Mackenzie Dinopoulos, Grayson Fipps & Arielle Johnston, St. Mary's Kelly Emge, Margaret Howells and Rachel Lansbury, Southern Virginia's Grace DeGruccio and Karenna Olson, and York's Abby Piotrowski.

The NFHCA has already announced the 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Award and the 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad — the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA National Scholar-Athlete will be announced on April 2.
