Salisbury Junior Wyatt Smith Named Second Team ECAC All-Star

The Eastern College Athletic Conference announced its 2014-15 Division III South men's basketball All-Star Team, and Salisbury junior Wyatt Smith was named to the second team, the league announced on Tuesday.

Smith put together a big first year for the Sea Gulls, leading the team with 14.7 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game. Both averages were second in the Capital Athletic Conference. He also finished the year with 1.2 blocks per game, tying for fourth in the CAC.

He came on strong late in the season, after missing the first four games of the year due to injury, tallying double-digit scoring in 18-of-26 games played, along with eight double-doubles. His career-high 37 points against Eastern Connecticut State University in the first round of the NCAA tournament on 80 percent shooting led the team to a 66-54 victory in the team's first tournament appearance since the 1996-97 season.
