Salisbury Men's Basketball to Face Eastern Connecticut State in NCAA First Round
The Salisbury (20-7) men's basketball team will face Eastern Connecticut State (22-5) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday in Hartford, Conn.
Trinity (Conn.) is the host school for the opening weekend four-team pod. Trinity (20-6) will take on Colby-Sawyer (19-6) in the other first round match. The two first round winners will meet on Saturday for a spot in the Sweet 16.
Salisbury is set to play in its first NCAA Division III tournament since the 1996-97 season after earning the CAC's automatic bid by defeating Christopher Newport 58-57 on Saturday. The CAC title was the second in program history for the Sea Gulls.
