Salisbury and Mary Washington each defended their home courts with wins in the first round of the CAC Men's Basketball Tournament on Tuesday to advance to Thursday's semifinals.

Third-seeded Salisbury downed sixth-seeded Wesley 75-68, while fourth-seeded Mary Washington edged fifth-seeded Frostburg State 82-78.

Salisbury (18-8) will travel to second-seeded York (21-4) for a rematch of last year's dramatic semifinal, set for a 7 p.m. tip-off in York, Pa. Salisbury is making its fourth consecutive trip to the CAC semifinals, while York will appear in the semis for the second straight season.

Mary Washington (19-7), meanwhile, returns to the semifinals after a one-year absence, and will take on top-seeded Christopher Newport (20-5) at 8 p.m. in Newport News, Va. The Eagles have reached the semis seven out of the last eight years, while the Captains are seeking their fifth straight championship game appearance.
