2019 CAC Men's Basketball Tournament Bracket

All four higher-seeded home teams prevailed in the 2019 CAC Men's Basketball Tournament Quarterfinals on Tuesday (Feb. 19) night and will advance to Thursday's (Feb. 21) conference semifinal contests. #1 Christopher Newport will host #4 Salisbury along with #2 York (Pa.) welcoming #3 Mary Washington.

The #1 seed Christopher Newport received 23 points from Jason Aigner and 18 points and six assists from Marcus Carter to run away from #8 Southern Virginia by an 89-59 final tally. CNU outscored SVU 54-25 in the first half to take control early and recorded 26 assists in the victory.

York senior Jason Bady continued his impressive senior season with a 25-point, seven rebound and six steal performance en route to a decisive 76-47 victory over #7 St. Mary's. The second-seeded Spartans ourebounded the Seahawks by a 42-32 margin and forced SMC into 19 turnovers.

Mary Washington, the #3 seed in the CAC tournament, forced #6 Penn State Harrisburg into 14 first-half turnovers en route to a 28-16 halftime advantage before earning the 65-51 victory. The Eagles were led by Da'Shawn Cook's game-high 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting, while Johnny Cronin recorded a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds in the win.

Fourth-seeded Salisbury overcame a 22-point deficit to eliminate #6 Frostburg State in overtime and advance to Thursday's conference semifinal at CNU. The Sea Gulls, who trailed by 20 at the break, stormed back in the second half by making six triples and turning the ball over just twice. Mike Ward paced SU with 22 points in the victory, while FSU's Edwin Cole had a spectacular game in defeat scoring 25 points and grabbing 19 rebounds.
