York senior guard Jason Bady had another big week in leading the Spartans to a pair of wins and a share of first place in the league at the midway point. Bady began his week with 15 points, eight rebounds, and an assist in the win over Frostburg State on Wednesday. He followed that with his second 30-point performance of the year as he had 30 points, eight rebounds, and two steals in the exciting victory over Christopher Newport. For the week, Bady averaged 22.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game. He shot 46.7% from the floor, 37.5% from three and 82.4% from the free throw line. Bady is third in the CAC in scoring (18.1 ppg), fourth in rebounding (7.5 rpg), and fifth in free throw percentage.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Penn State Harrisburg's Donyae Baylor-Carroll turned in the best two-game performance of his young career in back-to-back conference victories last week. The freshman opened the week by netting 19 points on 50 percent shooting from the field and 62.5 percent shooting from 3-point range in a win over St. Mary's (Md.) on Wednesday night. He also went 4-for-4 from the foul line, adding three rebounds, two assists and a steal against the Seahawks. The guard followed it up by pouring in a career-high 26 points in a road win at Southern Virginia on Saturday afternoon. He shot 50 percent from beyond the arc and was a perfect 7-for-7 from the charity stripe. He also swiped a game-high four steals against the Knights to go along with three assists and a pair of boards. For the week, he averaged 22.5 points, 2.5 steals, 2.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds per outing, while shooting 48 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from 3-point territory...Salisbury's Gary Briddell scored a dozen in Salisbury's game against Christopher Newport and put up a career-high 25 points against St. Mary's. In the St. Mary's contest, Briddell hit on 7-of-9 tries from beyond the three-point line, including a stretch where he scored 14 points over three minutes in the first half to help Salisbury take the lead...Frostburg State junior Terry Kenner set Frostburg's single-game record for three-pointers with eight in Frostburg's 90-70 win over Mary Washington ... Kenner's eight threes led to a season-high 32 points as FSU defeated the Eagles for the second time this season...Christopher Newport's Jason Aigner led the 15th-ranked Captains to a 1-1 week by averaging 15.5 points per game. CNU is one of three teams tied atop the CAC with 6-2 marks...Mary Washington's Da'Shawn Cook led Mary Washington to a 1-1 week, averaging 15.0 PPG as the Eagles split with Southern Virginia and Frostburg. Against the Knights, he scored 18 points, making three three pointers and a perfect 5-5 free throws and posted eight rebounds. He added 12 points and three caroms in a loss to Frostburg.
