Frostburg State senior Edwin Cole averaged a double-double in two league games last week for the Bobcats. Cole averaged 23.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for Frostburg to open CAC play unbeaten. Cole posted 25 points and 12 rebounds in an 87-77 victory over Mary Washington before posting 22 points and nine rebounds on the road at St. Mary's in an 82-69 win. For the week, Cole shot 58.6 percent from the field.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Mary Washington's Greg Rowson averaged 18.5 points and six rebounds per contest as Mary Washington split with Frostburg and Christopher Newport. He scored 18 points with seven rebounds in an 87-77 loss at Frostburg before scoring 19 points and five rebounds in a 69-61 win over #18 Christopher Newport on Saturday. For the week, he shot 50% from the field (11-22), making 2-6 three pointers and 13-16 free throws...York senior Jason Bady had an outstanding week in leading the Spartans to a split in two Capital Athletic Conference games for the week. In the road loss at #18 Christopher Newport, Bady was outstanding as he tallied 17 points and added 10 rebounds for his second straight double-double. Bady was limited to 26 minutes due to foul trouble in the game. On Saturday, Bady was nearly perfect as he registered 17 points in a mere 21 minutes of action. Bady was 7-for-7 from the floor including 2-for-2 from three. He added five rebounds and four assists in the win over Southern Virginia. For the week, Bady averaged 17.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game as he shot 66.7% from the floor, 50% from three and 72.7% from the free throw line...Salisbury's Lucas Martin scored a team-high-tying 17 points -- also a career high -- in SU's win against Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday. He pulled in eight rebounds, including three on the offensive end. Martin was key in the first half, scoring the team's first five points and overcoming an early deficit. Martin has 13 in the first half...Penn State Harrisburg's Keenan Wise's shooting prowess was on display in games against Southern Virginia and No. 22 Salisbury. In a victory over the Knights on Wednesday, the sophomore netted a career-high 22 points on a stout 8-of-10 shooting from the field and 6-of-7 shooting from 3-point range. The guard followed it up with 12 points against the nationally-ranked Sea Gulls, including 4-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc.
