Four CAC Men's Basketball Standouts Earn NABC All-District Recognition
York senior Jason Bady and Christopher Newport senior Marcus Carter were selected First Team All-District Tuesday by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Mary Washington senior Johnny Cronin and Salisbury senior Blair Davis were also honored as Second Team All-District selections.
Bady, the CAC Player of the Year, finished the year averaging 18.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game. Bady shot 53.2% from the floor on the year, 33.8% from behind-the-arc, and 79.9% from the free throw line.
Heading into the national semifinals, Carter is averaging 16.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. He was a second team All-Conference selection this year in the Capital Athletic Conference, and earlier this week was named second team All-Region in the Mid-Atlantic
Cronin ranked among national leaders in field goal percentage and offensive rebounds, scoring 12.5 points and 9.7 rebounds per game while shooting a school record 66.2% from the floor.
Davis scored a team-high 14 points per game, while dishing out 4.4 assists per game, which topped the CAC, this season. He also pulled in 4.4 rebounds per game.
