Mary Washington freshman forward Greg Rowson was selected as the CAC Player of the Week after averaging 18.0 points and 4.3 rebounds as the Eagles are off to to a 3-0 start this season. Rowson helped Mary Washington achieve the unbeaten start by defeating Eastern Mennonite, Guiilford and Ferrum and was named the MVP of the UMW Hyatt Place Tipoff Tournament. Rowson started his college career with a bang, scoring a team-high 21 points on 7-9 shooting - all on three pointers - as Mary Washington opened the season with an 89-73 win over Eastern Mennonite. He shot 58.6% from the field (17-29), including 52.2% from three point range (12-23).

St. Mary's Matt Ayoub picked up All-Tournament Team honors at the Battle of DC & MD Tournament hosted by Gallaudet. Ayoub tallied career-bests of 29 points, 10 field goals made, and four assists against Shenandoah. He has scored 20 or more points in three straight games. Ayoub drained a career-high seven three-pointers on his way to 23 points in the championship game against Hood. He currently leads the CAC with 21 three-point field goals made while ranking fourth with 17.2 points per game and sixth with a 52.5-three-point field goal percentage...York senior Jason Bady has been fantastic in leading the Spartans to a 3-2 record to start the campaign. Bady opened the season with 13 points and five rebounds in the win over Dickinson on November 8. He followed that with 17 points and eight rebounds in the six point win over #15 Johns Hopkins. Bady then had a career-high 22 points to go along with eight rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots in the road win at Gettysburg. In the weekend tournament at Stockton, Bady had 20 points and a season-high 10 rebounds for his first career double-double in the setback against the host Osprey. He followed that with 15 points and eight rebounds on Sunday against Neumann. For the nominating period, Bady is averaging 17.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game. He is shooting 60.5% from the floor, 36.4% from three and 86.1% from the free throw line...Salisbury's Gary Briddell came on strong in this past weekend's Optimist International Tournament, leading the Sea Gulls to the team title. He scored a career-high 24 points in Friday's opening round win and followed that up with 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting (including 4-of-5 from three-point land) in the title game -- a 78-69 win against No. 15 Johns Hopkins University...Christopher Newport's Marcus Carter was named MVP of the 2018 Pablo Coto Tipoff Tournament at Marymount University ... Led team with 15 points and 9 rebounds in the championship game of the tournament against Marymount ... Also added 9 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists against Trinity (TX) in the opener ... Helped CNU start 2-0 by leading the team with 12.0 ppg, 8.5 rpg, and 3.0 apg...In the first outings of his collegiate career, Donyae Baylor-Carroll led Penn State Harrisburg to a pair of season-opening victories and the team championship of the 2018 Penn State Harrisburg Tip-Off Tournament presented by Holiday Inn East. The freshman poured in a game-high 20 points on 64 percent shooting from the field and added five assists, three rebounds and steal in a convincing 86-71 win over Gettysburg on Saturday afternoon. He followed it up with 13 points, eight rebounds, four assists and a steal in a 67-59 victory over Neumann in the tourney's title game the next day. He was named the tournament's most valuable player for his efforts.
