McDermott Named Interim Men's Basketball Coach at Salisbury
Salisbury University Director of Athletics and Recreation Gerry DiBartolo has announced that Brian McDermott has been named the Interim Head Coach of the men's basketball program.
An SU alumnus who earned his bachelor's in physical education in 2000, and a master's in education in 2002, McDermott has served three stints as an assistant coach with the program.
He also has been the varsity boys basketball coach at Mardela High School, Stephen Decatur High School and Sussex Technical High School.
McDermott steps into the role as Andrew Sachs is currently on leave.
The Sea Gulls begin their 2018-19 season on November 10, when they will host Arcadia University in Maggs Physical Activities Center.
