Salisbury’s Jordan Oates Named C2C Men's Basketball Player of the Week

The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the eighth week of the 2023-24 men's basketball season. Salisbury senior Jordan Oates earned C2C Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors.


MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jordan Oates, Salisbury

Jordan Oates began the week with a 25-point, 18-rebound performance at St. Mary's (Md.) that vaulted him into eighth in program history in career rebounds (716). He scored 11 points and corralled four rebounds in the final seven minutes against the Seahawks to power the Sea Gulls to victory. He followed that performance with a 22-point, eight-rebound day at home against Penn State Schuylkill on Jan. 6. Oates is the lone Division III player with 200+ rebounds so far this season (209) and ranks third nationally in rebounds per game at 13.1.

C2C HIGHLIGHTS

Senior guard Zack Blue tied for the team lead in both points (11) and rebounds (seven), as Mary Washington improved to 9-5 on the season with a 63-46 win over Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday. Blue shot 4-8 from the floor and made 3-4 free throws… Jahn Hines scored 21 points in Christopher Newport's only game this week, a loss on the road at 22nd-ranked Emory University. Hines, a senior All-American, also recorded six rebounds, two assists, and a block in 33 minutes of action… In the line game of the week for Pratt, senior Patrick O'Gorman scored a game-high-tying 18 points to go along with four rebounds and two assists as the Cannoneers opened the new year with a 87-61 road defeat at St. Joseph's (L.I.).
