FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Penn State Harrisburg senior forward Chris Bing was selected Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 3, 2018.

Chris Bing's performance was instrumental during Penn State Harrisburg's most-recent 2-0 stretch. The senior recorded two double-doubles in as many outings to lead the Lions to victories over Immaculata on Monday night and Messiah on Saturday afternoon. The forward netted a team-high 21 points on 60-percent shooting, pulled in a game-best 16 rebounds, dished out five assists and blocked two shots in the hotly-contested road win at Immaculata. The Philadelphia native followed it up with 16 points on 80-percent shooting to go along with a game-high 10 boards, two steals and an assist in just 19 minutes of action in the team's 80-54 rout of Messiah over the weekend. For the week, Bing averaged 18.5 points on 68 percent shooting from the field, as well as 13 rebounds, three assists, 1.5 assists and one block per contest. Thanks to his efforts, the Lions are off to a 6-1 start.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Salisbury's Blair Davis led the Sea Gulls to three wins last week, while accomplishing a pair of career numbers along the way. Davis put up double-digit point totals in each of the three wins, including a career-high 26 points against St. Mary's in Salisbury's CAC schedule opening victory. In the St. Mary's win, Davis also dished out seven assists, which is the most he's had this season and matched his career high. The senior pulled in four rebounds per game, scored 16.7 points per game and dished out 5.3 assists per game...York's Jason Bady led the Spartans to a pair of wins for the week as York has now won three straight overall and are 6-2 for the campaign. Bady began the week with a career night as he poured in 27 points on Wednesday night in the win over Gwynedd Mercy. Bady added eight rebounds, four assists, three blocks and a steal in his 34 minutes of work. Bady was 10-for-16 from the floor, 2-for-5 from three and 5-for-6 from the free throw line. On Saturday, Bady had nine points, nine rebounds, four assists, five steals and a career-high five blocked shots. He was 3-for-6 from the floor and 3-for-4 from the line in the come from behind victory. For the week, Bady averaged 18 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 4.0 blocked shots as he averaged 31.5 minutes of play. Bady shot 59.1% from the floor, 40% from three and 80% from the stripe...Christopher Newport's Marcus Carter led the Captains to a 2-1 record this week, averaging 18.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. He has climbed to 11th on the CNU all-time scoring list, and went over the 1,400-point mark on Saturday in CNU's victory over Randolph. He has led the CNU squad to a 6-1 mark to open the season...Mary Washington's Johnny Cronin led Mary Washington this week with 11.0 PPG and 8.7 rebounds per game, shooting 57.7% from the floor. He scored 17 in a 75-66 win over Randolph on Sunday...Frostburg's Daniel Alexander poured in 25 points in the only action of the week as Frostburg downed Bridgewater 79-74.
