Wesley junior ROB ZIMMERER (Franklin, N.J./Wallkill Valley) and York freshman ANDREW SCHMEHL (Vincentown, N.J./Seneca) were named the CAC Golf Co-Athletes of the Week. Zimmerer shot a one-over-par 72 to tie for second place and lead the Wolverines to a tie for second in the team standings at the 2009 Bent Creek Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall College. Schmehl carding a three-over-par 74 to lead the Spartans to the team title Glenmaura National College Invitational, hosted by King’s College. Earlier in the week, Schmehl posted a five-over-par 76 to tie for 11th place in the 82-player Bent Creek Invitational at F&M.

York senior JIMMY DeCASTRO (Mantoloking, N.J./Gov. Livingston) was named the CAC Golf Athlete of the Week after leading the Spartans to their third tournament championship of the 2008-09 season. DeCastro carded a six-over-par 77 to tie for sixth place out of 99 players in the Elizabethtown Spring Invitational at Hershey East C.C.

Marymount seniors KEVIN THOMSEN (Rocky Hill, Conn./Rocky Hill) and THOMAS DONOVAN (Fairfax, Va./Bishop O’Connell) were named the CAC Golf Co-Athletes of the Week after each carded a three-over-par 75 to tie for second place, two shots off the pace, at the York Tournament. Thomsen and Donovan helped the Saints finish second in the team standings, just three shots behind Messiah College.

Stevenson junior MATT LUKEHART (Bel Air, Md./Mt. Carmel) was named the CAC Golf Athlete of the Week after registering a one-over-par 73 to tie for first place at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational, helping the Mustangs place ninth in the team standings. Lukehart has registered the team’s top three rounds of the spring season and is averaging 77.5 per round this year.

Marymount senior KEVIN THOMSEN (Rocky Hill, Conn./Rocky Hill) was tabbed as the final CAC Golfer of the Week for the fall season after placing 16th overall to lead the Saints to 10th place in the McDaniel Tournament. Thomsen scored in the 70s both days (79-78) to finish with a 157 two-day total. It is his third CAC Golfer of the Week award this season.

Marymount senior KEVIN THOMSEN, (Rocky Hill, Conn./Rocky Hill) was tabbed as the CAC Golfer of the Week after putting together a strong second round to finish in a tie for ninth at the Virginia State Championship. Thomsen, who picked up his second CAC Golfer of the Week award in the last three weeks, shot 81 the first day and then 76 on the second day.

Thomsen’s one-over-par 73 on the 6,880-yard course led the 82-player event and lifted the Saints to fifth place in the team standings.

York freshman ADAM DUPLER (York Haven, Pa./Red Land) was named the CAC Golfer of the Week after finishing second individually and leading the Spartans to fourth place in the 21-team Lebanon Valley Fall Invitational. Dupler’s one-under-par 71 was two shots off the winning pace, and he was placed second on a match of cards. For the fall season, Dupler leads YCP with a 77.3 stroke average.

Wesley junior CHRIS OSBERG (Amherst, Va./Amherst) was named the CAC Golfer of the Week after tying for 10th place overall against primarily Division I competition with a 36-hole total of 152 (77-75) at the Rehoboth Beach Invitational. Osberg, the 2008 CAC Championship individual medalist, helped lead Wesley to a sixth place finish in a 10-team field hosted by George Washington.

Carmel) carded an even-par 72 to win medalist honors by five strokes at the Penn State-Harrisburg Invitational to win the first CAC Golf Athlete of the Week award for the 2008-09 season. Lukehart topped a field of 56 players from nine teams to capture the individual title at Dauphin Highlands G.C.
