York landed all five golfers among the Top 10 finishers to win the 2013 Capital Athletic Conference Championship, carding a two-day team total 613. This is the second time, and the first time since 2009, that the Spartans won the CAC Golf Championship.

The Spartans bested the host Wesley (636) and Marymount (642) at the par 72, 6,392-yard Wild Quail Golf & Country Club near Dover, Del.

Scores

Four-time CAC all-star Peter Johns of Marymount captured medalist honors with consecutive two-over par rounds, totaling 148.

Wesley freshman Mason Mendoza, who led after the first round with a two-under 70, finished second in the final standings with a 150 and was named the CAC Rookie of the Year.

York's Kevin Long and defending CAC Champion Robert Ehrhardt of Wesley tied for third place with a 75-76-151 over the 36 holes while Wolverines senior Clayton Bunting rounded out the top five and the CAC First Team with an 80-72-152. Bunting's second round 72 was the best of the day.

The second team consisted of Brad Johnson from Marymount (154) and four Spartans: Travis Oot (155), David Boslough (156), Tyler Keim (158) and Ryan Wolbach (160).

CAC Coach of the Year honors went to York's Matt Hunter while Long was selected by the conference coaches as the winner of the Andrew Geyer Memorial Award.

The annual award, presented by Wesley College, remembers a former Wolverine All-CAC athlete who was also a Dean's List student and active in his community. The award recognizes a CAC golfer annually for "outstanding academic credentials, athletics, citizenship and community service."
