Wesley Senior Robert Ehrhardt Named Third Team PING All-American

Wesley College senior Robert Ehrhardt has been named a Third Team PING All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), it was announced on Monday morning.  This is the first time that Ehrhardt has received All-America honors after earning All-Region recognition all four years.

A native of Mechanicsville, Md., Ehrhardt is the first Wolverine to earn GCAA All-America accolades since Chris Osberg in 2010. Ehrhardt had his finest season for the Wolverines in 2013, recording a 74.9 stroke average and being named to the Capital Athletic Conference First Team for the fourth-consecutive time after placing third in the conference championships. Earlier in the season, Ehrhardt earned medalist honors at the Glenn Heath Shipbuilders Memorial after carding a CAC-record 140 (-2) over 36 holes, while shooting a second-round 67 (-4), the second-best single round in CAC history.

Ehrhardt also shot a second-round 67 the weekend prior at the Hershey Cup, his second of three rounds on the year where he finished par or better. The 2012 CAC Champion and Golfer of the Year, Ehrhardt was named the CAC Golfer of the Week four times this season, including three-straight weeks in the Spring.

Ehrhardt ended his collegiate career with a 76.8 stroke average over four years. He won two tournaments, finished in the top five 14 times, and notched 18 top ten performances.
