York and Penn State Harrisburg led a grouping of four CAC teams that competed at the two-day Penn State Harrisburg Fall Invitational, while Christopher Newport traveled to Greensboro, N.C. to face off against some stiff competition in the Tournament Town Division III Championship Preview in men's golf action early this week.

York finished second PSH Fall Invitational, held at Dauphin Highlands Golf Club in Harrisburg, the site of last spring's CAC Golf Championships. The Spartans shot team scores of 306-307 for a two-day total of 613. The Spartans finished 14 shots back of first-place Franklin & Marshall (599).

Penn State Harrisburg was two shots back of York with a total of 615 (304-311), good for third place in the team standings. Wesley took sixth at 656, while Marymount placed eighth at 673.

Freshman Brandon Hur paced the Spartans with a 5-over 149 (73-76), tying for third place individually with Penn State Harrisburg freshman Keith Miller. Penn State Harrisburg's Tyler Massar and Tyler Shank along with York's Anthony Wagner all tied for sixth with two-day totals of 10-over 154.

For Christopher Newport, junior Matt DiSalvo (+4) posted the best three-round score of his career, firing a 75 in the final round Monday to lead the Captains to a 13th place finish in the Tournament Town Division III Championship Preview.

The junior leader shot a 73-72-75 in the 54-hole event, finishing with a four-over 220. It was good enough to tie for tenth individually, just ten strokes behind Oglethorpe's Anthony Maccaglia, the champion at six-under. Freshman Joel Choi finished second for the Captains and tied for 40th individually after shooting an 80 in his third round. Choi (+13) wrapped up the event with a 75-74-80 line.
