Mary Washington's Jason Guintu posted the low round of the tournament with an even-par 72 to help the Eagles extend their advantage on the rest of the field on day two of the CAC Men's Golf Championship on Friday at Bay Creek Golf Course. 

The Eagles, who entered Friday with an eight-shot advantage in the team scores, posted a 14-over 302 to jump out to a commanding 28-stroke edge with 612 strokes entering Saturday's third and final round. Christopher Newport remains in second place at 640, closely followed by York in third place at 644. 

Guintu entered the day tied for third place but climbed to the top of the individual leaderboard with a tournament-best 72 on the Nicklaus Course. Guintu holds a one-stroke advantage over teammate Sebastien Bonte, who holds a two-day total of 150 after firing a 77 on day two. 

York's Tyler Newton is three shots back of the lead at 152 following a 75 on Friday. The Spartans' Morgan Uhlick (154), Christopher Newport's Will Snyder (155) and UMW's Phillip Manceri (155) round out the top five individuals, with ties. 

Saturday's final round of the 54-hole event begins at 7 a.m., with the final groups set to tee off at 9:20 a.m.
