Bonte, Mary Washington Take Early Lead at CAC Men's Golf Championship

Led by the top individual round of the day from Sebastien Bonte, Mary Washington claimed the early lead following day one of the CAC Men's Golf Championships on the Nicklaus Course at Bay Creek Resort in Cape Charles, Va. The Eagles notched a day one team score of 22-over par to take an eight-shot lead over Christopher Newport entering day two.
York sits in third place at 34-over par, followed by Marymount (+56), Wesley (+69), New Jersey City (+82), Penn State Harrisburg (+84) and Southern Virginia (+84).
UMW's Bonte led all individuals one day one with a one-over 73, with Christopher Newport's Chris Brugge one shot behind with a two-over 74. York's Tyler Newton and Morgan Uhlick each shot 77's and are tied for third place with UMW's Jason Guintu.
