York's Riley Rohlfs Garners CAC Men's Golfer of the Week Accolades

CAC -- The Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) has announced its weekly awards following the first week of the 2019-20 men's golf campaign. York freshman Riley Rohlfs claimed CAC Men's Golfer of the Week honors after his victory at the Spartan Invitational.

GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Riley Rohlfs - York (Pa.)

York freshman Riley Rohlfs made his collegiate debut a highly memorable one as he won the individual title at the Inaugural Spartan Invitational at Royal Manchester Golf Club in Mt. Wolf, PA. Rohlfs was good in his first collegiate round on Saturday as he fired a two-over-par 74. Rohlfs was even through the first six holes of the tournament before a trio of bogeys left him at 39 for his opening nine. He immediately trimmed a shot off that with a birdie on ten. He bogeyed 12 before a birdie on 17 gave him a 35 on the back for his two over 74. On Sunday, he was fantastic as he scorched the course with a three-under-par 69. He was four-under on the front side as he had three birdies, one eagle, and a bogey en route to his 32. He shot 37 on the back with two birdies and three bogeys. He won the tournament by three strokes over Eastern's Nicky Marrollo.
