Top-seeded Salisbury University defeated third-seeded St. Mary's (Md.), 17-5, in the 2007 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) men's lacrosse tournament championship on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Sea Gulls improve to 18-0 overall on the season and run their home winning streak at Sea Gull Stadium to an impressive 57 consecutive contests. Salisbury also clinches the conference's automatic berth into the upcoming NCAA tournament which begins with first round competition on May 9. The Sea Gulls will be looking for their seventh national title and their fourth in the last five years, having fallen in last year's national championship contest in overtime, 13-12, to Cortland State.
