Sixteen from CAC Earn Spots on IMLCA All-Region Squad

IMLCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team

Sixteen CAC men's lacrosse players have been named to the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team. York led the way with seven All-Region honorees, Salisbury earned five spots, Christopher Newport secured two, and Frostburg State and Southern Virginia each landed one player on the squad. 

A quartet of first-team All-Region selections headlined York's seven all-stars. Matt Whitcher (midfield), Dillon Hannah (midfield), Billy Sasso (faceoff) and Landry Marshall (goalkeeper) each landed on the first team for the Spartans. Thomas Pfeiffer (attack) and Joey Fiorino (defense) collected second-team awards, while Nick Roman (LSM) received honorable mention accolades. 

Salisbury's five All-Region nods were led by Kyle Tucker (defense), Will Nowesnick (defense) and Troy Miller (mid defense) on the first team. Kevin Murphy (LSM) earned second-team recognition and Corey Gwin (midfield) was named to the honorable mention list. 

Christopher Newport placed two on the All-Region list, with Matthew Crist (attack) on the second team and Tony Cruz (faceoff) as honorable mention. 

Frostburg State's Adam Gross (midfield) represented the Bobcats on the second team, while Southern Virginia's Shawn Lamb (attack) earned honorable mention accolades for the Knights.
