2006 Capital Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer All-Conference Team
ST. MARY’S CITY, MD - York (Pa.), the 2006 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) champion put seven players on the men’s soccer All-CAC teams as released today by the conference office. The Spartans had four players selected to the first team and three selections on the second team. Mary Washington, who finished second in the conference, finished with six players total on the teams; two on the first team and four on the second team. Catholic’s freshman forward Matt Brady was chosen as the Rookie of the Year while York (Pa.) junior forward Andrew Wheeler was selected as the Player of the Year. After leading his team to a current overall record of 19-0-2 and second consecutive CAC title, head coach Mark Ludwig of York (Pa.) was chosen by his peers as the 2006 CAC Coach of the Year.
