Third-seeded Christopher Newport and fifth seeded Frostburg State both posted one-goal victories Saturday to advance to the semifinal round of the 2013 CAC Men's Soccer Tournament.

The Captains, first-year members of the CAC, edged sixth-seeded Wesley by a 3-2 margin to give veteran head coach Steve Shaw his 250th career victory.  CNU advances to the tournament semifinal round Wednesday (11/6) at second-seeded York, beginning at 11:30 a.m.  York, ranked #2 in the NCAA South Atlantic Region, is the four-time defending CAC champion.

Frostburg State outlasted fourth-seeded host Mary Washington by a 1-0 count to earn a trip to Salisbury Wednesday in the conference semifinals.  The Sea Gulls, who are ranked fifth in the region, have advanced to the CAC title match in two of the last three years and last won championships in 2007 and 2008.

The highest remaining seed after Wednesday's matches will host the 2013 CAC title contest on Saturday, Nov. 9 (game time TBA).  The CAC champion earns an automatic berth in the 2013 NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
